The B.A.D Buds 13th annual daylily sale will feature over 150 cultivars including miniatures, small-flowered, large-flowered, doubles and spiders.  Some are among the most popular in the upper midwest.

Bad Bud Activities in a 'nutshell'.

  Member winter slide program (February meeting):  Club members present slides of their gardens or ones that they have visited.
  Speaker programs (April and November meetings and sometimes the February meeting):  Hybridizers, growers, gardeners, travelers, and specialists. 
  Ask the Experts Round Table (April):  Members pose questions about the growing the hybridizing of daylilies to a regional hybridizer plus one or two club members who are also experienced daylily growers and hybridizers.  
  Annual Club Plant Auction (May Meeting):  Come early and look over the many possibilities.  Opportunities to obtain daylilies at nearly 50% off.
  Annual Club Adopt-a-Daylily Program (May Meeting):  New cultivars are purchased by the club yearly and raffled to members.  These plants are grown in member gardens for two to three years and then divided.  The club member keeps a double fan and the excess is either sold at the annual auction or planted in the Green Bay Botanical Garden/B. A. D. Buds display beds.
  Annual Club Garden Walk (July): Visitation to members’ home gardens. 
  Club Daylily Hybridizing Workshop (July):  A hand’s-on, in-the-garden introduction to the basics of hybridizing daylily cultivars.
  Annual Club Garden Party (August):  Members visit gardens of and enjoy a potluck picnic hosted by a club member.
  Annual Club Daylily Plant Sale (September):  Hundreds of cultivars from members' gardens and GBBG/B.A.D. Buds display beds.
 Club Annual Banquet and Business Meeting (November):  A banquet followed by the election of the Board of Directors and planning for the coming year’s activities followed by a featured speaker.
